Mormond Hill

Alex,Margaret and Me climbed Mormond Hill up to the White Horse and Hunters Lodge.
The horse is made of white quartz and is 162' long and 126' high.
Captain Fraser family of the laird of Strichen whose horse was shot from under him in a Dutch battle in 1794.
A sergeant Henderson offered him his horse but was shot dead during this and upon his return Captain Fraser created the horse on the hill as a memorial to him.

SPRING AT LAST

WE think Spring has come at last even though we still have some snow.
